- The only reason a doctor would legally give you hgh is if you have dangerously low mounts of testerone. I doubt you need it and i woud advice doing it the old fashion way or buy a supplement from gnc and work hard. Eat 4,000 plus calories and a high protein diet. Also it is illegal and you would really have to trick your doctor into doing it.
- HGH is a HORMONE...just like insulin or thyroid hormones, for instance. Would you just take insulin for casual reasons without a doctor's involvement? I certainly hope not! HGH has value for people with DIAGNOSED low levels...usually this would be older people...rarely younger ones. Don't do HGH just to gain weight and muscle UNLESS you are working with a doctor who specializes in this area. It can be dangerous in the wrong hands. There are other, safer ways to bulk up.
- That would depend on how underweight you are and why. Being simply very slim is not considered a reason to get a prescription for something like HGH. Usually one has to undergo tests by a endocrinologist and be strictly monitored. I would talk to your doctor about being referred to a dietitian to put you on a regimen to gain weight. There are a couple of products (Prescription only) like Megace used to stimulate appetite.
- There are better ways to do it than HGH. Talk to a doctor about nandrolone decanoate. It's a Schedule III prescription steroid but it is different than most because it lacks many of the negative side effects they have. At the same time, it is also less effective than the others, but I'd rather take less effective and more safe than more effective and dangerous. It is LEGAL with prescription in the United States. Nandrolone stimulates your appetite, muscle growth, improves bone stability and density, and helps with cartilage growth (good for joint problems). Studies also show that it helps improve red blood cell count as well. It doesn't effect the liver or prostate like other steroids. It might cause sexual problems but if you use it in moderation and remain under supervision of a doctor, you should be OK. Best thing is find a doctor who understands the drug and talk about pros and cons. It's up to the doctor whether you can use it, obviously, and whether or not it will be safe for you to use. Also doctors will not write you a prescription just for the sake of building muscle. That's illegal. It's prescribed to treat an illness/disease/injury. Do not go about getting it illegally like many bodybuilders do. It's very dangerous because you don't know what you're getting and it's against the law. Possession of a Schedule III without a prescription in the U.S. is a felony and can put you away for up to 7 years. Not worth it. Other than that, hook up with a nutritionist and discuss options for your diet. Ideally you'll want to make sure you get a high calorie high protein diet, which your body needs to fuel muscle growth. With or without supplement assistance, it takes hard work, dedication, and most importantly time to see significant results. It doesn't happen overnight, and there's no magic chemical that will do it for you.
