Bonds, Giambi and Ankiel.....which one will you forgive?
Which one is easier to forgive? Also as long as current players who have used steroids/HGH in the past are easier to forgive as long as they don't break any records (Excuse i see the most when it comes to bonds being hated the most) And also...I read some of the answers/questions here about Ankiel and why are people giving him the benefit of the doubt regarding his "cheating ways" and say he stopped using them after the 04/05 season when he was a pitcher and say Bonds still uses them??? For me personally all 3 are guilty, all 3 cheated. PERIOD
Public Comments
- Ankiel
- Thank you. All are guilty.
- I guess Giambi would be easier for me to forgive, if I had to forgive, only because I have to see him play everyday. (Yankee Fan) Personally though, I won't forgive any of them.
- They are all cheaters, including McGwire and Sosa. Nonetheless, Bonds has hit more homers in one season and in a career than Aaron. It is time to stop the Hank Aaron commercials implying that he is still #1. Actually, I consider Babe Ruth the TRUE home run champ, since he hit his in 4,000 less at bats.
- I will forgive ankiel cause he is a good player. he doesn't deserve to be punished. After what he has been through they shouldn't do this to him!!!!!!!!!1
- Who cares! Until they prove that taking steroids can make you hit 70 home runs or win 30+ games as a pitchers then it doesn't matter. Hitting comes down to science and mechanics. It doesn't matter if you have huge ripped muscles this does not equate home runs or wins. If these dudes did or are doing steroids who cares. They have to live with the health repercussions in the long run. Cheating is a way of life in sports. From corked bats to sandpaper in a glove, or pine tar on a bat or ball. Been going on since before you and me and will keep going on. So give the Bonds, McGwire, Ankiel, Giambi crap a rest. Look at A-rod he's 200 some home runs behind Bond's record and will more than likely shatter it. He's no huge muscle bound dude. So until there's proof I say who cares.
- True true they all three did use steriods but i think Giambi is the easiest to forgive no reason he just is and i hate bonds cause he got about maybe 100 hrs using steriods
- None of the above. Way too many others as well.
- If I am an athlete, or any celebrity or public figure, and I was accused of doing something I shouldn't have been doing, that I didn't even do, then you better believe I'll be making it loud and clear that I did no such thing. To me, these guys never did that, or atleast they haven't convinced me. I wanna believe it, I really do, but I just can't.
- every single person i hate except ankiel to forgive
- I'm going to say Giambi. Not just because I'm a Yankees fan, but because he had the 'cajones' to step up, admit his wrong-doing, and has taken responsibility for his actions. Plus, he has also worked with whichever group (MLB, Congress, etc ...) has asked him for information. Now, that's not to say that I've suddenly become a Giambi fan, because I haven't (Yes, I am a YANKEES fan, not a Gio fan). However, in giving credit to a man for stepping up and taking responsibility for himself, then I have to give my 'vote' to Jason Giambi.
- ANKIEL!!!!!!
- anyone who cheats should be treated the same way bonds does. nobody should be cut slack if bonds isnt. sure they used different substances but cheating is cheating and all cheaters should be treated the same way bonds gets treated.
- FIRE SELIG NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT JACKASS IS THE CAUSE OF ALL OF THIS BULLSHIT GOING ON HE HAS RUINED BASE/DRUGBALL FOR GOOD WITH THAT CRAPOLA 2002 NO STRIKE AGREEMENT.
- Giambi, at least he was decent enough to admit it before Congress and cooperated with their investigation. That is not to say I am letting any off the hook, but at least he had the decency to stop this whole charade of sports records being attained c/o the juice.
- I don't know about Giambi but Bonds I'm still indifferent on. There is no proof of him using anything but then from all that has happened I believe he may have used some and could still be using them which is just wrong since they are now illegal. As for Ankiel, I'm very disappointed that he used them in 2004 and that is cheating but then he used them when they were legal. As long as he isn't using them now (when they are illegal) I can forgive him. As someone pointed out earlier, a good pitcher can't take HGH and then become a really good outfielder. They'd just fail. People need to stop complaining about people getting mad at Bonds but then supporting Ankiel. These are two different cases.
- your totaly right, but bonds and giambi stoped using and there's no proof on ankiel
- If Ankiel used them as part of a recovery process and not while he was actually playing, I don't see the problem. And it sounds like a doctor prescribed it at that time. Plus, if he's not taking them now, so what? Meanwhile, Giambi admitted to taking them and Bonds' numbers skyrocket at an age where numbers decline. You do the math.
- None! Cheating is cheating!
- giambi is a loser. also as a twins fan rincon is a cheater
