what sort of craniofacial changes take place in response to human growth hormone therapy in adults?
Hello, I've heard about many anecdotes (ie: "just look at Barry Bonds") concerning facial changes in response to human growth hormone therapy. I'm interested in any professional opinions about what kinds of changes take place in the adult male or female after taking HGH. Ie: neurocranium, viscerocranium, length width, mandible, etc. In a related point, do growth hormones simply speed up / exagerrate the features our genetic code has laid out for us? Or can they actually modify our appearance from what we would expect? Thank you very much

- I am not a professional but I have seen many body builders who have used HGH and most of them have very exaggerated features. It seems to make their jaws, faces and heads grow and most end up looking like Mr. Potato Head. Sorry if this is not what you were looking for, but in my experience, it definitely makes people's features change. However, these guys are most likely using far more than would be prescribed as a therapeutic dose by a doctor. I believe that a lower dose, such as that a doctor would give you, would probably give little to no effect on facial features.
